About Youth Can:
Youth Can is a non-governmental, non-profit and independent civil organization in Tunisia which aims to empower young people to take active participation in the development of a democratic society through active citizenship and social activism as well active political participation including running for elections. The organization was founded by young people and for young people as to share the idea of the power of youth as catalysts in today’s Tunisian society.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
• Daily coordination of project activities on the ground, communications with local CSOs and partners, and liaising with Youth Can staff.
• Primary facilitation of all project operations on the ground, coordinating closely with finance team to ensure program activities and deliverables are executed in full compliance with funder requirements and Youth Can objectives.
• Contribution to the substantive design of new programs in coordination with relevant staff.
• Anticipation of potential problems and trouble shoots project problems and offers solutions and actively takes part to lead resolution of them with creative and immediate solutions
• Establishment, maintaining, and development productive working relationship with relevant stakeholders, consultants ..
• Maintaining an understanding of Youth Can’ and donors’ policies, procedures and procurement related to grant compliances.
• Monitoring activities expenditures in line with the assigned programs budgets and guidance from the the leadership.
• Providing data and information to support Youth Can’s external affairs efforts.
• Traveling as needed locally for program implementation.
• Other duties as assigned to support specific administrative and program matters as needed.
• Contributing to the development of funding proposals and formulation of implementation plans.
• Design and delivers training programs and materials and implementation of capacity building activities to develop political, advocacy and other relevant skills to Youth Can members and staff.
• Assist in draft contractual agreement with relevant stakeholders as assigned.
• Assist in drafting monthly, quarterly and final reports, new proposals and work plans.
• Liaise with civil society organizations in respect of project activities and programs.
• Other duties as assigned.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Previous experiences are NOT a requirement during the recruitment process.
• Bachelor’s Degree required, and Graduate degree preferred in business, management, communication, political science, law or any related field
• Good written and oral communication and presentation skills in English and Arabic
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team to coordinate and lead the efforts of other professionals
• Willingness to travel within the country
• Ability to remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines
• Knowledge of MS package.
• Willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge including on Youth Can’s internal management and financial procedures are required for the job
