Maths Teaching Assistant

Department: Academic

• Reporting to: Class Teacher, VP, Executive Principal

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Learning: Assist teachers in supporting pupils’ learning and social needs, ensuring all students have equal opportunities to succeed.
• Individual and Group Support: Work with pupils of all abilities, supporting their learning in various curriculum areas under the direction of teachers and support staff.
• Activity Preparation: Prepare and organize class activities, ensuring necessary resources are available and maintained.
• Health and Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of pupils, reporting any concerns or incidents to the appropriate authorities.
• Feedback and Communication: Provide detailed feedback on lesson content, pupil responses, and behavior to teachers and pupils.
• Inclusion: Promote and support the inclusion of all pupils, including those with specific needs, in learning activities and classroom environments.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Education.
• Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with children of varying abilities and ages.
• Attributes: An enthusiastic, proactive, and flexible individual with a passion for outdoor learning and an interest in AI.
• Personal Qualities: A positive, innovative, and creative outlook, with a willingness to learn and grow with our school.
