About the department:
The Patient Access and Public Affairs department at Novo Nordisk Tunisia is one of the most diverse and collaborative groups within the organization, responsible for the management of public policy – by influencing and shaping public policies, issues, attitudes and behaviour – ultimately to secure patient access.
The Position
The Patient Support & Public Affairs Manager is responsible for managing the development and implementation of local strategy for engagement and partnerships with the patient community in Diabetes and Haemophilia together in cross-functional internal strategic alignment and collaboration and in co-creation with the patient community.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to build long term, substantive relationships with our Health Care Professionals and Authorities based on values of trust, respect and transparency, develop and drive advocacy strategies across our value chain, support patient access to medicines by working with patient groups to help determine the value of innovation and address access barriers in the therapeutic area, build and engage coalitions to effectively advance advocacy initiatives amongst patient organisations and existing coalitions as well as forge strategic alliances to deliver a stronger, united message, and contribute to the development execution of integrated patient insights plan and activities.
You will also be responsible of leveraging existing relationships and build a network at all levels of government and regulatory bodies to have a voice of influence in the external environment that helps advance the Novo Nordisk company’s strategy; Leading with agility the development of Public Affairs initiative, while, driving synergies across Market Access and Public Affairs functions.
Ensure strategies and stakeholder engagement plans for the Public Policy and Alliance Development team are aligned with long-term corporate goals across NN disease states, and in support of patient needs.
The Patient Support & Public Affairs Manager is People & Budget Position, you will be responsible to develop and lead a team of 04 Educators in the execution of Patient Support Programme.
Qualifications
This position requires you to have:
- Pharmacy doctor or Medical doctor with 2-4 years of experience in People Management; ideally you have experience in Diabetes.
- Focus in either Public Affairs/Communications or Science-related fields with a previous working experience in interactions with patient community or NGOs
- Understanding of the drug development process and regulatory requirements and trends for drug approval, clinical trials and medical communication
- Functional competencies including but not limited to, organisation, prioritisation and planning skills, negotiation skills, communication & presentation skills
- Ability to operate successfully in a cross functional environment with shared accountability and responsibilities
- High ethical standards and consistent adherence to compliance and transparency policies in relation to working with third parties, particularly Patient organisation
- Fluency in written and spoken English
