Maintenance Supervisor

Purpose of the Role

As Maintenance Supervisor you are responsible for 24/7, safe, environmentally sound and reliable operation of asset equipment as a competent member of a high-performance shift team. The Maintenance Supervisor is in charge of ensuring minimum downtime of onsite equipment by implementing and following up with the support of your maintenance team a proper maintenance plan, applicable for rotating machines as well as electrical and instrument material.

• As Maintenance Supervisor you will report to the Field Managers.
• You need to work closely with other installation supervisors and liaise with onshore operations and maintenance support teams, vendors, contractors and specialist companies.
• You will a rotation shift of two weeks ON & two weeks OFF.

Responsibilities & tasks

• Support “Target Zero” safety and environmental culture through:

• Provide maintenance support to production equipment and processes if and when required;
• Support & provide input into development of strategical projects, objectives and KPI’s for the team;
• Support team members in their daily work (influence, coach, assist) and align/adjust based upon business needs;
• Maintain and improve plant and equipment to achieve high levels of reliability, quality and safety;
• Carry out PM audits to ensure quality standards are followed and maintained;
• Review, maintain and control the Planned Preventative Maintenance program to maximize Equipment Efficiency;
• Help to develop and to ensure effective use of the maintenance tools and systems, such as work orders, spare part management, maintenance service requests, JSA and risk assessments;
• Review, maintain and control the equipment asset register to ensure all site equipment is accounted for and all related Planned Preventative Maintenance Programs are in place;
• Contractor management; ensure contractors are adhering to relevant LSR and FPB associated with the task;
• Review and manage service agreements, to ensure the site complies with relevant statutory requirements;
• Control of spare parts; where applicable create new spare part numbers, ensure max and min levels are accurate and ensure availability of critical spare parts. Also ensure the spare request process is up to date and manage delivered parts;
• Participate with engineering groups and QA in problem solving and Root Cause Analysis;
• Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance;
• Prepare weekly/monthly maintenance schedules and allocate work;
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance;
• Assist with the implementation of capital projects;
• Support, develop and communicate best working practice in accordance with the principals of a continual Improvement culture;
• Consistently display required levels of engagement and a positive ‘can-do’ attitude while supporting MET’s culture of Safety, Quality, ongoing learning and continual improvement;
• Actively participate in and fully support/adhere to site procedures, safety and quality initiatives;
• Engage effectively with all other colleagues, departments and third parties as and when required;

• Any other tasks or duties as required/assigned by Field Managers to meet business needs;

Qualifications

• Minimum level Technician Diploma (BAC+3) in mechanical discipline, with electrical and instrumentation knowledge;
• Minimum 10 years experience including minimum 5 years on O&G site as Maintenance Supervisor, Senior Mechanics or similar role;
• Experience with reciprocating compressors, plunger pumps, screw compressors and other rotary machines maintenance and overhaul tasks;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook;
• Ability to work with maintenance software (eg coswin, SAP, Maximo, etc…);
• Good physical condition (required for perform physical tasks onsite);
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities;
• Motivated, team player and capable of working at remote location and with good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work on day and night shifts;
• Ability to work in company’s different locations;
• Must have the ability to speak, read and write English.
