About the role

Flat6Labs Tunis Financial & Admin Officer is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of specific programs to ensure high quality and efficient financial and administrative support of the project. The Financial & Admin Officer will be working closely with the program teams to ensure alignment between the financial requirements and the project management while being in charge of the compliance with grant requirements, project financial reporting, project audits, monitoring of project implementation, deliverables and outcomes.

Financial Management:

• Prepare, review, and manage budgets, expenses, and payroll entries.
• Generate accurate invoices and maintain proper documentation for all accounting transactions.
• Produce error-free accounting reports, analyze financial data, and present results to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with the designated schedule for internal and external reporting purposes.
• Manage cash flow, monitor liquidity, and optimize financial resources.

Accounting and Reporting:

• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and reports.
• Verify, allocate, display, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Collaborate with program teams to create narrative reports for partner submission.
• Generate monthly financial reports along with all required supporting documents.

Audit and Compliance:

• Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, banks, and other relevant stakeholders as required.
• Assist in conducting audits, both internal and external, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
• Provide necessary support during tax audits and the preparation of tax returns.
• Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliation and financial reporting.

Supplier and Partner Relations:

• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure seamless operations.

Capacity Building:

• Provide training and capacity building to the teams within supported organizations on financial processes and systems.

Operational Efficiency:

• Continuously improve financial and administrative procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and coordination in financial and administrative matters.
