Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Secondary Mathematics Teacher at CIS International School of Tunis. The Mathematics Teacher will design and deliver engaging mathematics lessons, develop lesson plans, and provide mathematics education to lower-secondary students. The teacher must also communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. The ideal candidate would be able to join us by mid-January.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge and expertise in Mathematics
• Experience in lesson planning and designing engaging mathematics lessons
• Qualified teacher with relevant teaching certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
• Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to student success
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Experience in teaching lower-secondary students is preferred
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging and effective mathematics lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum
• Develop and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and resources
• Assess and evaluate student performance, providing constructive feedback and support
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for learning
• Utilize various teaching strategies and technologies to enhance student understanding
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and professional development opportunities
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and projects
• Adhere to school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment
