Encryption is growing very fast: 80% of the traffic will be encrypted by 2020 and 60% of attacks will happen on encrypted traffic. However, detecting attacks contained within encrypted traffic is still a black hole within many security teams as they have no tools to detect that without decrypting data and hitting your privacy.

Barac is a fast growing security software vendor, with large corporate clients, and partnerships with some of the biggest IT companies in the world. Barac’s ETV, is a unique technology that uses AI, Machine Learning and complex behavioural analytics, to locate and stop cyber-attacks hidden in encrypted traffic in real-time, without having to decrypt the data.

Responsibilities

• Analyze raw data: assessing quality, cleansing, structuring for downstream processing
• Data cleansing and prepration for analysis
• Design accurate and scalable prediction algorithms
• Collaborate with engineering team to bring analytical prototypes to production
• Generate actionable insights for business improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
• At least 5 – 10 years’ of experience in data mining, data sciense or data modeling
• Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning, clustering and classification techniques, and algorithms
• Fluency in a programming language (Python, SQL)
• Familiarity with Big Data frameworks and tools (HBase, Kafka, Hadoop, Storm )
