Head of SAP

Summary:

The Head of SAP-ERP is responsible for the successful implementation and rollout of the SAP system or a specific project involving deployment of new SAP modules, and business‐process automation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead a team of SAP functional and technology experts working in an offshore/onshore delivery model on transformation program to migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA
• Responsible for interfacing and working closely with key business stakeholders to identify solutions to meet business needs.
• Provide subject matter experience (S/4HANA) and implementation skills for S/4HANA solutions.
• Take responsibility for project budgets and ensure meeting targets on scope, quality and costs.
• Work closely with business and other IT stakeholders to fully understand the business requirements, pain points, and work with SAP functional and technology team to implement and deploy the right fit solutions in an agile environment, leveraging scaled agile framework, tools and methodology.
• Ownership of the project configuration and governance of SAP solutions using Solution Manager & Solution Documentation/Implementation functionalities.
• Assist in the global internal SAP S4HANA Implementations as key stakeholder in the Change and Release management process
• Manage the deployments, data migrations, testing, hosting and post production support services and upgrades…etc. In addition to track performance and quality of applications in production environment.
• Maintain standards and compliance throughout project lifecycle and enforce regulations, guidelines and best practices.

• Functional/technical proficiency with at least 10+ full life cycle SAP implementations.
• Overall 15+ years of industry and/or consulting experience in ERP Business Application Manager position
• At least 5+ years of experience in SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA
• Experience in any functional area beneficial (FICO, HCM, MM, SD, SRM, CRM, BI, BPC)
• Experience in SAP SuccessFactors (HCM, LMS, PMGM, SMCDP)
• Experience in Sales, Distribution, Supply Chain (Planning, Inventory, Warehousing)
• Experience in Technology (Mobility and User Experience, Cloud and Virtualization, Data Management and Analytics)
• Experience in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
• Must have proven experience demonstrating leadership and management experience in SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA technologies, project delivery, capacity including onsite and off-shore team management in Global delivery model.
• Experience of working in large programs of work, of leading small teams in project delivery.
• Ability to work and team effectively with other IT groups/teams/management/clients including on a global and virtual basis
• Experience on delivering SAP projects in an agile environment, awareness of agile methodology and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is a must in a computer science or related discipline.
