Job Description:
Project Officer
I WATCH is hiring a Project Officer for the project “Strengthening Integrity in Defence–Tunisia.”
The project “Strengthening Integrity in Defence–Tunisia,” in partnership with Transparency International’s Defence & Security program, aims to promote improved transparency and encourage tangible reform within the Tunisian defence sector.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Conduct research and draft analysis papers in relation with the defence sector in Tunisia;
-Provide communication material for the project’s activities (including press releases, articles, and social media);
-Draft access to information requests;
-Assist with activities coordination;
-Assist with logistics for the activities of the project.
Qualifications:
-Knowledge of the defence and security sectors;
-Masters in a relevant field such as security studies, international relations, or political science;
-Demonstrated research and project management skills;
-An understanding of (anti-)corruption, governance or related subject areas;
-Work experience in a professional environment in research, policy, analytics or similar fields;
-Excellent writing and communication skills in Arabic and in English;
-Good interpersonal skills and commitment to team spirit;
-Ability to coordinate meetings and engagement with a variety of stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds;
-Organised, detail oriented, able to prioritize and consistently produce high standard work;
-Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines.
