Flat6Labs Tunis Portfolio Manager is responsible for assisting in management and oversight of Anava Seed Fund portfolio, in addition to business development opportunities. This entails maintaining effective networking, high portfolio support, researching technology sectors and executing financial analysis. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in managing the portfolio of Flat6Labs, including; supporting the startups development, maintaining and generating periodical reports on their business and financial position and disseminating these reports to different stakeholders.
  • Communicate and report the status of the portfolio to the top management, board, investors and different stakeholders.
  • Maintain smooth communication channels between the companies, lawyers and regulatory authorities when needed.
  • Form hypotheses on investment opportunities based on both key facts and market intuition.
  • Create investment memos to the investment committee.
  • Continually monitor and investigate macro and micro industry trends to recommend new sectors of technology for evaluation and potential investment.
  • Assess growth and business development opportunities for the portfolio startups through evaluating their business models and go to market strategies, in addition to supporting their expansion plans by advising on go to markets and support with business traction.
  • Assist in creating Business Development leads, sales-pitch decks and closing deals.
  • Help build and maintain Flat6Labs network of local and regional VCs and investors.
  • Identify any gaps in the investment process or financial risks and provide recommendations for minimizing such risks.
  • Follow up on the follow-on fundraising process for Flat6Labs portfolio companies, and generating reports about prospect deals and negotiated terms.
  • Build and maintain a database of shares distribution and movement within each of the startups companies.

Requirements

  • At least 4-7 years of experience in venture capital, private equity or investment banking.
  • Major in finance/business/economic studies.
  • Excellent English & Arabic language skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial modeling and budgeting set ups.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent technical understanding for financial software packages like Microsoft Excel, etc..
  • Proactive and highly organized, with strong time management and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
