The British Embassy in Tunis currently has a vacancy for EU Exit Officer, Grade – B3 (L).
Main purpose of job:
This is a fascinating job where you will be supporting delivery of the UK’s current foreign policy priority: the successful withdrawal of the UK from the European Union. The key objective will be achieving a successful transition of the EU-Tunisia Association Agreement into a bilateral UK-Tunisia agreement with a focus on trade and policy. You will also explore and lead initiatives to strengthen the bilateral relationship with Tunisia following the UK’s departure from the EU. To achieve this you will need to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including ministries, political parties, parliamentary committees and business in order to inform policymakers.
You will also work with the Embassy’s Prosperity Team and Trade team to explore ways in which we can boost commercial relations before and after Brexit, searching for sector opportunities, organising Brexit-related visits from London, ensuring concrete deliverables, visit follow-up and strong communications strategy. You will also coordinate with other parts of the embassy to help reinforce cross-mission understanding of developments relating to Brexit and what these mean for the embassy’s work.

Working hours and remuneration:
Conditioned working hours are 40 hours gross per week. Standard working hours are from 08:00-16:30 from Monday to Thursday and 08:00-13:00 on Fridays.
Eligibility:
Candidate must be eligible to work and reside in Tunisia immediately.
