Key Responsibilities:

• • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, and  ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all contractual agreements.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations relevant to the cement industry.
  • Provide legal guidance on environmental, health, safety, and labor regulations.
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary and oversee their work to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Identify and assess legal risks associated with business operations and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to minimize legal exposure.
  • Protect the company’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice to senior management and various departments on a wide range of legal issues.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company’s operations.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in law or a related field is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the industrial, manufacturing, or construction sectors.
• Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate governance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent business acumen, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal software tools.
• Fluency in French is required. Knowledge of English is a plus.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
