DESCRIPTIF DU POSTE : JOB DESCRIPTION

Etablissement culturel et linguistique, l’Institut français du Qatar (IFQ) est le relais incontournable de la francophonie sur le territoire qatarien. Enseignement du français, diffusion de la culture française et échanges universitaires sont quotidiennement assurés par les équipes de l’Institut. La propreté, l’hygiène et le bon état général des installations sont très importants pour l’image de l’IFQ.

L’IFQ recherche un (e) Factotum parlant anglais et ayant des notions en arabe et en français.

The French Institute of Qatar (IFQ), a cultural and linguistic institution, is the essential representative of the Francophonie in Qatar. French teaching, promotion of the French culture and Universities exchanges are daily provided by the team of the Institute. Cleanliness, hygiene and general good condition of the equipment are very important for the image of the IFQ.

IFQ is recruiting an English speaking Factotum with some notions in French and Arabic languages.

1. – Responsabilités: Responsibilities

Sous l’autorité du Secrétaire général, le factotum assure l’entretien ménager et toutes les tâches de maintien des matériels et éclairages de l’IFQ en condition de fonctionnement. Il assure également les fonctions de chauffeur-livreur et d’achat direct de petites marchandises.

Under the authority of the Secretary General, the Factotum is in charge of the house-keeping and all the good maintenance of the equipment and the lightings of the IFQ. He also acts as driver-delivery driver and is in charge of small items purchase.

1. – Missions: Assignments

• Avant l’ouverture au public tous les jours, nettoyage de toutes les salles de cours et des zones communes (hall, toilettes, couloirs) ;

Before the opening every day to the public, cleaning of all the classrooms and commons areas (hall, toilets, corridors);

• Après l’ouverture au public, nettoyage des bureaux et du mobilier ; entretien des plantes d’intérieur ;

After the opening to the public, cleaning of the offices and furniture; maintenance of indoor plants;

• Contact avec les divers intervenants pour l’entretien des matériels et de l’immobilier ;

Contact with the various contractors for the maintenance of the installations and the equipment;

• Démarchage auprès des institutions locales ;

Soliciting local institutions;

• Navette entre l’IFQ et l’ambassade, pour la valise diplomatique notamment ;

Shuttle between the IFQ and the French Embassy, especially for the diplomatic mail;

• Achats de petites fournitures et de matériels à la demande du Secrétaire général ;

Small items purchase when requested by the Secretary General;

• Transport du personnel et du matériel à la demande du Secrétaire général ;

Staff and material transportation when requested by the Secretary General;

• Accueil aéroport et transport des visiteurs de l’IFQ et du SCAC ;

Airport pick-up and transportation of the IFQ’s and SCAC’s visitors;

• Aide technique à la préparation des manifestations linguistiques et culturelles ;

Technical help to the preparation of linguistic and cultural events;

• Fermeture de l’IFQ à la fin des activités.

Closing of the Institute at the end of the activities.

• Savoir-faire en mécanique et en petit entretien du matériel ;

Knowledge in mechanics and small maintenance works;

• Savoir organiser son emploi du temps ;

Knowledge in how to schedule his planning;

• Très grande disponibilité ;

Very high availability;

• Bonne réactivité ;

Good reactivity;

• Titulaire du permis de conduire.

Holding a driving licence.

1. – Horaires de travail: Working hours

En matinée, de 06h30 à 13h00 du dimanche au jeudi.

Morning from 06:30 am to 01:00 pm, from Sunday to Thursday.

En soirée, deux heures du dimanche au mercredi et une heure trente le jeudi, en fonction de la fin des cours (en général à 21h00 du dimanche au mercredi et 19h30 le jeudi), afin d’assurer la fermeture de l’IFQ.

Evening: 2 hours from Sunday to Wednesday and 1 hour on Thursday, in accordance with the last class (generally at 9:00 pm from Sunday to Wednesday and 7:30 pm on Thursday) to close the IFQ.

Le factotum peut être amené à assurer l’accueil tardif des visiteurs à l’aéroport. Il peut également être mobilisé certains samedis pour des examens et lors d’événements culturels de l’IFQ. Les heures ainsi effectuées seront compensées ou récupérées.

The Factotum can be asked to pick-up visitors late at night from the airport. He can also be requested some Saturdays for the organization of examinations and cultural events of the IFQ. The hours worked in these cases will be compensated or retrieved.

1. – Conditions de recrutement: Recruiting conditions

Emploi sous contrat permanent d’une année, reconductible, avec une période d’essai de 3 mois renouvelable une fois pour la même durée. Le poste est à pourvoir le 16 juin 2019.

Job under one year permanent and renewable contract. The first contract is subject to a probation period of 3 months, renewable for the same period. The position is to start on June 16^th, 2019.
